Darío Rodríguez Rodríguez (Alcalá de Guadaíra, 1994) is a mosaicist whose professional practice combines handcrafted artistic creation, research into traditional mosaic techniques, and the direction of artistic workshops in Seville.

His connection with mosaic art began in 2016 during a stay in Athens, where he discovered the richness of the mosaic tradition preserved in the city’s Byzantine churches. This experience sparked his interest in the discipline and marked the beginning of a specialised training journey that later continued at the Schools of Art in Seville and Mérida. Since then, he has focused his career on the contemporary practice of traditional handcrafted mosaic work.

For the past decade, he has worked in various artistic workshops, combining teaching with artistic production. As a registered artisan and member of the Andalusian Federation of Artisans (FAS), he undertakes projects and commissions for private clients, companies, and public institutions.

He also directs the artistic workshops of the Seville Brain Injury Foundation and has collaborated with several cultural and museum institutions, including the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba, the Archaeological Museum of Écija, and the Honey Museum. In these institutions, he has delivered courses and educational activities on Roman mosaic art for both children and adults.
