Manuel Téllez Berraquero is a sculptor and religious image-maker specialising in the creation of works associated with Sacred Art. He holds a diploma in Wood and Stone Carving from the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts of Seville, and further complemented his academic training through direct apprenticeship in the workshop of the sculptor Jesús Santos Calero, where he deepened his knowledge of the traditional procedures and techniques of religious sculpture.

Throughout his professional career, he has collaborated on a variety of artistic projects and has also participated in different creative roles within the company Mármoles Herrera, thereby broadening his experience across diverse areas of sculpture and the applied arts.

His artistic excellence has been recognised through the award of two National First Prizes in Religious Sculpture, received in 1999 and 2006, distinctions that attest to a distinguished career devoted to the study and development of religious imagery.

Among his most notable works are the sculptural group created for the Brotherhood of El Silencio in Córdoba, as well as the principal devotional images for the Brotherhood of La Misericordia in Dos Hermanas, together with numerous other creations located throughout Spain.

At the Seville School of Sacred Art, Manuel Téllez Berraquero leads the training programmes related to sculpture and religious imagery, passing on to his students the technical, artistic, and human values acquired through decades of professional experience.
