- Construction of the anatomical structure and principal facial features.
- Modelling techniques and definition of details.
- Final finishing and correction of forms.
- Application of the hollowing-out technique for subsequent firing in a ceramic kiln.
Price: €500 (VAT included)
To secure a place on the course, a €250 deposit is required, which will be deducted from the final course fee.
If full payment is made before 15 July, an early payment discount will apply, reducing the total fee to €450 (VAT included).
The full payment must be made before the start of the course.
Intermediate Course: Modelling
Designed for students who already possess basic modelling skills and wish to further develop their knowledge of modelling techniques as applied to Sacred Art.
Objectives
- Refine the fundamental clay modelling techniques acquired at the introductory level.
- Deepen the study of anatomy and proportions as applied to figurative sculpture.
- Develop a greater capacity for observation, analysis, and three-dimensional representation.
- Improve mastery of volumes, planes, and anatomical details in the construction of figures.
- Acquire greater proficiency in the use of tools and procedures specific to artistic modelling.
- Advance in the creation of elements and compositions related to religious imagery and Sacred Art.
- Understand the aesthetic and formal criteria that characterise traditional religious sculpture.
- Develop the ability to interpret models and references and accurately translate them into sculptural form.
- Consolidate a working methodology that enables the successful execution of more complex sculptural projects.
- Continue advancing in the knowledge of techniques and processes employed in the creation of religious images.

Course Programme
The course is structured into three practical modules focused on the refinement of anatomical modelling, with particular emphasis on the interpretation of form, expressiveness, and three-dimensional representation as applied to figurative sculpture and religious imagery.

Module II. Advanced Foot Modelling (15 hours)
- Anatomical analysis and proportions of the human foot.
- Sculptural interpretation of anatomy and bodily expression.
- Development of volumes, tensions, and points of support.
- Finishing techniques and definition of details.
- Application of the hollowing-out technique for subsequent firing in a ceramic kiln.
Module III. Human Head Modelling and Expression (35 hours)
- Advanced study of the proportions of the human head.
- Anatomical construction of the face and its principal features.
- Interpretation of expressions and emotions in sculpture.
- Modelling of facial features and refinement of details.
- Correction of volumes and final finishing.
- Introduction to the expressive principles characteristic of religious imagery.
Price: €700 (VAT included)
A €250 deposit is required to reserve a place on the course, and this amount will be deducted from the final course fee.
If full payment is made before 15 July, the final course fee will be €650 (VAT included).
The full payment must be made before the start of the course.
Advanced Course: Modelling
Designed for students who have successfully completed the basic and intermediate levels of modelling, this course aims to consolidate previously acquired knowledge while providing a deeper understanding of the creative processes involved in sculpture and religious imagery.
Objectives
- Refine technical mastery of clay modelling as applied to figurative sculpture.
- Deepen the anatomical study of the human figure and its sculptural representation.
- Understand the relationship between anatomy, movement, and expression in the creation of a sculptural work.
